AL NAHDA CEMENT is one of the Egyptian preferred cement producers with a longstanding history in the Egyptian market. We have been serving the Egyptian construction sector since January 2008.

AL NAHDA CEMENT is a leading building material and solutions company with its production facility at Qena governorate kilo 22 Qena – Safaga Road. According to Egyptian and European standards, the plant is designed to produce all types of high-quality Portland cement with an annual capacity of 1.5 million tons.

Geological studies discover a 50 years reserve of the finest limestone suitable for the cement industry. Limestone and clay are crushed with a large German HAZEMAG impact crusher with a capacity of 1,500 tons per hour,

Crushed limestone is moved by conveyor belts One kilometer long.

The pre-blending of limestone is carried out by a 1500 ton per hour stacker and reclaimer, while Iron ore is stored at the iron oxide depart, which accommodates 5,000 tons of iron.

The raw material mix grinded to a smaller size by using a giant Mill made by LOESCHE Germany, the latest World grinding technology, to give it the required finesse & homogenization to be sorted in 20000-ton homo-silo & the conveying to pre-heater (two strings – 5 cyclones each) to be heated by using the exhausted gases from main kiln burner & to save the total fuel consumption.

Daily Production

Packing process capacity

The packing process is in 50 kg bags through three Italian made machines with a capacity of 2,400 bags per hour per machine.

After heating, the raw material in Cyclones, it passes over a calciner where it gets 96%, calcinated. Then it goes to a rotary Kiln 5 meters in diameter and 72 meters long. The kiln speed reaches 5.2 revolves per minute to produce 5,500 tons of clinker

To reach the chemical reaction of components, the temperature is raised up to 1450 degrees where the raw material becomes clinker.

The clinker goes out from the kiln into suspended passage and cooler, where the clinker is cooled by air, which is reused to light the kiln fuel. This will reduce the power consumption of each kilogram of clinker. The cooler’s heat recovery efficiency reaches 77 percent. Then it sorted in two clinker silos with total capacity 70000 tons.

In another giant Mill made by LOESCHE Germany, a mix of 95% clinker and 5% gypsum is grounded together with the capacity of 300 tons per hour and 3200 finesse.

A team of chemists and physicians checks samples of the mixture every hour in the lab. And the mixture is regularly fixed to reach the required quality according to the lab specifications.

The packing process is in 50 kg bags through three Italian made machines with a capacity of 2,400 bags per hour per machine. We also have a 500 ton silo for bulk loading cement to fill cars. It is attached with a 120 tons ground scale. In addition to another 500 tons Silo to pack jumbo bags into 1, 1 .5 and 2 tons.

NIC plant stated the production in 2012 by using HFO (Mazot) as a main fuel in clinker formation and heating, then the decision of replacing HFO by coal as a main fuel by establishing a coal grinding plant on 2015-2016

At ALNAHDA CEMENT, We have an enormous infrastructure Spread over three cement production lines. Four water Wells were drilled 15 km away. Each produces 90 M3 per hour. In addition to two booster pumping units and a 16 inch and 15 kilo-meters long water line, and a water desalination unit (R.O) inside the plant to use for human, industrial and agricultural uses.
